Steven Hum, President and Group CEOTestAcc Solutions LLP (TAS) delivers it across two disciplines. Founded in 2014 as an accounting practice, it expanded into software testing in 2015 and now runs both as dedicated divisions operating across Australia and Southeast Asia. Each is built to reduce the risk that errors go undetected, and each begins by asking what the client actually needs.
Find It Before Users Do
Late testing is common. A system is nearly complete, a UI exists and a team checks that features do not break before deployment. That catches obvious failures. It does not address gaps that arise from not understanding why the system was built a certain way, who will use it or how transactions are expected to behave at the API level.
TAS starts earlier. During initial development, it uses tools such as Postman to conduct API testing, probing how systems respond to different inputs before a UI exists. Its testers engage directly with the client’s business and development teams, building a working understanding of the system’s logic and business rules. That foundation shapes more precise test cases.
“We normally have a daily stand-up where we let the client know what was found, what defects we discovered, what and how major or severe they are.,” says Steven Hum, president and group CEO. Each defect comes with recommended solutions. Whether those are acted on is always the client’s decision. The process still delivers what matters most: no surprises.

Alpha and beta testing before go-live gives clients direct experience of the system before it reaches their own customers. A Release Readiness Meeting report documents outstanding defects and uses a traffic light assessment to indicate whether the product is ready to ship.
One client had prior testing in place, but management had not been able to certify it as reliable. Errors continued to reach production. TAS applied two testing tracks. One focused on functionality, verifying the system did what it was built to do. The other used scenario-based testing to surface what it actually did under real conditions, a method TAS applies across clients to extract hidden defects that functional coverage alone tends to miss. Defects from both tracks were raised, classified, and assessed for severity in fortnightly meetings. Modules were validated before deployment, production issues dropped measurably, and the client gained a release process it could rely on.
Plan Before the Bill Arrives
The same principle applies to finance. When routine accounting work consumes all available capacity, tax planning cannot proceed. Many clients are unsure what needs to be filed. TAS guides them through the full picture, and when they see what is owed and how the figure was reached, the next question is almost always the same: Can this be reduced?

“A lot of customers don’t want to pay so much tax,” says Vivian Li, group CFO. “We will know which expenses can be deducted from tax and which cannot and we need to explain this to our customers.”

For most clients, the goal is straightforward: reduce what is owed each year without running afoul of obligations. TAS takes that seriously. Its Group Director meets with clients directly, online or in person, to walk through Malaysia’s tax system and explain how it applies to their business. By the time that conversation ends, clients understand which expenses qualify for deduction, how to document them, and what their liability will look like. That clarity comes before the bill arrives, not after.
Compliance adds its own pressure. Malaysia’s e-invoicing mandate, introduced in August 2024, arrived amid widespread confusion. Implementation was deferred several times as authorities worked to explain it. Many management teams assumed their accountant would handle preparation and found themselves unprepared when deadlines arrived. TAS handles the groundwork, including secretarial work such as director resolutions, before bank account setup, so clients are ready when requirements take effect.
The Same Discipline, Applied Consistently
Manual testing accounts for roughly 85 to 90 percent of TAS’s testing workload. Test cases are built from functional, business and technical specifications. AI contributes at the template stage, generating a starting structure that testers shape to the specific engagement. The remainder covers selective automation and non-functional testing, including security and performance.
What clients get across both services is the same: work done before problems arrive. Fewer production failures, shorter rework cycles, predictable releases, lower tax liability and compliance that does not catch them off guard. That consistency, applied across industries and geographies, is what earned TAS its recognition as Top Software Testing and Accountancy Services in APAC 2026.
